Conspiracy Theories

So, today I was thinking "Why not a post in english?". So here it is! My english is not that good, but I'll try.
I decide to write about Pokemon game conspiracy theories and the conspiracy theories that involve cartoons, such as courage, the cowardly dog... Probably, they aren't true, just theories, but it's cool to read about them...

So let's go, I'm gonna start with the conspiracy theories about the pokemon games.

Pokemon Game Conspiracy Theories

There have been numerous controversies over events, images, names, and other themes stemming from Pokémon. This is likely due to the game's extreme popularity eliciting a backlash from some members of society. Here are some of them:

1. Did the player in Pokemon Red/Blue kill the rival’s Raticate?

One of the theories that involve pokemon games revolve around Lavender town and the fight that you have against your rival on the ship S.S. Anne. You remember Lavender town? Is that small city that have the pokemon cemitery and that creepy song. The image below explains it:

So basically, you have destroyed all the dreams of your rival. Yeah, you're the bad guy.

2. Is Gengar The Shadow of Clefable?

This theory is really popular, it says that because Gengar and Clefable have a very similar body shape, weight and have as type normal and ghost (types that cancel each other), Gengar could be the shadow of Clefable. But this theory leaves behind the pre evolutions Clefa, Clefairy, Gastly and Haunter.

Another theory involving Gengar and Clefable is this: Gengar is the ghost of Clefable, meaning that when Clefable dies he becomes Gengar. Or that Gengar could be the corrupted soul of Clefable. But again, you could wonder what hapens with the other pre evolutions.

 3. Mixed up evolutions/names

Some pokemon should not have the name they have or  should evolve to different pokemons .

4. Munna reference in Pokemon Blue/ Red

You have to wonder if the creators remembered this NPC dialogue from over ten years ago when they made Munna for Pokemon Black and White.

5. Oh, well...

Some Conspiracy Theories of Animated Cartoons

1. Courage, The Cowardly Dog:

You probably seen some episode of Courage, right? Well, one of the most famous conspiracy theories about Courage is this one:

"Courage is a normal dog, and he sees life through dog eyes. In this theory it is assumed that courage actually lives in a small town, instead of the middle of nowhere. But, having elderly caretakers, they are too unfit or lazy to take him outside. This means that everything outside the house is nothing to him since he's never seen it.
When there is a visitor to Courage's home, it appears very strange to Courage and he freaks out. He wants to protect his owners, and in many episodes he finds himself in a panic trying to do that. Which makes sense, because he's a dog and dogs want to protect.
But since hes not used to the normal outdoors, the visitors appear as monsters and are distorted to be more evil."

2. The Rugrat's:

Angelica is the only one who can talk to the babies, because they are part of her imagination. Tommy died after he was born, a fact that reflected by Stu never leaving the basement, inventing toys for his son never to play with. Chuckie die in a car acident with his Mum, also reflected in the actions of his father; the car crash has made him a pathetic nervous most of the time. And the twin babies were, actually, just one baby. This baby had never born, so Angelica never knew the sex of the baby and because of that, she invented twins of different genders.

3. Ed, Edd, n' Eddy

This theory is really freaky. Luckily it has been disproved by the writer of the show, the cartoon was just about his childhood friends and the place they lived in. But this theory makes a lot of sense.

Here it is:

"So the basic idea of it is that the kids who live in the culdisac are all dead and in some sort of afterlife.
The kids in the show all died throughout different time periods in 1900 through 2000, and died in the same area and in the afterlife live together. There are no parents or any other children in the show, just the main children--they also have blue tongues, weird personalities, and sickly appearance.

Here's the idea of the characters
  • Rolph is the farm-crazed character who in the show tends to his animals in crops in the neighborhood--his backyard farm. So he died in the 1910's and kept his old-world farming ideals with him in afterlife.
  • Johnny lived there in the 1900's and had no friends, he was very lonely so he had an imaginary friend, plank, that died with him.
  • Eddy came in the 1930's, he is a schemer and obsessed with money. It is said he was alive int he great depression and would do anything to get money and he takes that aspect of himself to the afterlife.
  • Sarah and Ed came in the 1950's. Sarah is very controlling and she acts like that in the show, Ed acts dumb and shuts the world out. Cartoons and comic books were popular then, and Ed thrives on those. It is suggested that they had strict and little parenting explaining their behavior.
  • Nazz came in the 1960's (or 70's maybe) and she was a flower child. She is a flirt, uncaring, and free and keeps that characteristic in the afterlife.
  • Kevin came in the 1990's. He is a bully to kids probably because his father was controlling and abusive. He rides his bike as an escape (and rides it a lot in the tv show). It is theorized that he died and made up a dad (as it is in the tv show) that showers him with gifts and stays out of his way.
  • Jimmy came in the 2000's and probably died of a sickness, as he is an introvert and sickly looking in the show."

Some art describing the theory

And a conspiracy theory about the animated movie Tonari no Totoro, this blog explains it: http://my.opera.com/sukekomashi-gaijin/blog/tonari-no-totoro. Very interesting, right?

Leave a comment for suggestions or if you find some grammar mistake just tell me that I will correct it. Thanks, bye! :-D
